technology – an A-Z of slang to combat bullying

Impero, providers of leading classroom management software and e-safety software, have recently released new keyword libraries designed to help schools crack down on inappropriate online behaviour. The library is included as part of Impero’s classroom management software solution, which scans for when these terms are typed anywhere on a school’s network. Including acronyms, abbreviations and commonly-used slang terms, the library provides school staff with glossary definitions of terms so that they can put potential risk into context.

The libraries, including cyberbullying, homophobia, racism and grooming, have been developed working in conjunction with organisations such as the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), eating disorder charity Beat and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).
